Barbara Louise (Camp) Vogel, 89, passed away on February 27, 2025 at her home, in Southampton surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Montgomery on July 1. 1935. She was the daughter of Edwin (Earl) Camp and Ruth (Tower) Camp. After graduating from Westfield High School in 1953, she went to work at Old Colony Envelope Co. where she was employed for 42 years.
Barbara met the love of her life, Phillip in 1954, they wed on September 14,1957 moving to Southampton in 1962, they shared 67 wonderful years together. She loved dancing especially square dancing and was a big fan of George Strait. She loved to cook and bake for her family in addition to attending family gatherings, picnics and traveling. She enjoyed having her hair done weekly by Mary. Barbara was a member of Southampton Congregational Church and a member of Mother and Women’s Club of Southampton.
She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, Phillip Vogel, her daughters, Anne Tyler and her husband, Marty of Westfield; Susan Knight and her husband, Robert of Westfield; her brother Merton Camp and his wife Mary of Southampton; her sisters; Betty Stratton and her husband William of Broad Brook CT; Mary Morin and her ( predeceased husband Rodney ) of Old Orchard Beach, ME; grandchildren; Makayla, Gabrielle, Blake, Jacob, Jordan, Ashley and one great grandchild Amani and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 8 at the Boucher- O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St. with a calling hour 10 - 11AM with a Prayer Service at 11:00AM.
Burial will be announced in the Spring for the Southampton Center Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Southampton Fire Department or Cooley Dickinson Hospice.
