Brian Thomas Conway, passed away suddenly on February 20, 2023, at Holyoke Hospital due to an unforeseen cardiac event. Born in Holyoke on March 7, 1950, to Winifred M. (McManus) and Dr. Raymond F. Conway Sr. Growing up in Holyoke, Brian attended grade school at St. Jerome’s and Sacred Heart, he then went onto Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg MA, he graduated in 1968 from Holyoke High School, then graduated from Providence College in 1972. He was a graduate of the Western New England School of Law. Brian practiced Civil and Real Estate Law in the City of Holyoke for over 45 years, he was currently semi-retired at his time of death. Brian moved to Easthampton in 1988 when he married Dolores (Maksimoski) Conway, his soul mate and beloved wife for over 34 years.
Brian enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading, hunting, painting, target shooting and feeding his backyard birds and squirrels. Brian was a proud friend of Bill W. for over 26 years. He was communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Parish.
Brian leaves his wife, Dolores “ Dee” Conway, sisters, Karen and her husband Dr. James Zupnik of Marlborough, CT., and Paula A. Conway of Holyoke, his brother Dr. Raymond F. Conway and and partner Carleen Grandshaw of Pittsfield MA. Brothers-in-law: James Maksimoski and wife Linda of Hadley, Richard Maksimoski and wife Denise of Gahanna, OH. He also leaves several cousins and many adored and beloved Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews and Friends and his best buddy, Gabby the cat. Brian was predeceased by his parents and his brother Barry Conway.
A special Thank-you to the Easthampton Fire Dept Paramedics and the Easthampton Police Dept, for their care provided to Brian.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 2nd at 12:00 noon meeting at Our Lady of the Valley Parish, burial will follow in St. Brigid’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from the Boucher-O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St. Easthampton on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of the Valley Beautification Fund or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
