Darlene M. Rivard, 69, passed away peacefully at home in Easthampton MA, on June 3, 2023. She was born on March 26, 1954, in Northampton to Norman Yell and Elaine Roth. Darlene grew up in Easthampton and attended Smith Vocational School. She worked at several places, Stanley Home Products, Pro Brush and at Tube Products as a Machine Operator, she also worked at White Brook School in the Lunch Program.
Darlene loved her cats and going to the beach, shopping for clothes, going for walks and to car shows. She also liked to Macrame, Crochet, garden and play Computer games.
Darlene was predeceased by her husband Richard D. Rivard Sr. in 2017. She leaves her children, Richard Rivard Jr. of Easthampton, her daughter Dennise Hazel and her husband Jay of Greenfield, her brothers; Warren Yell and his girlfriend Ashley Mimitz of Easthampton, Gordon Yell of Easthampton, Sherman Yell of Easthampton, Patrick Yell and his wife Rosemary of Franklin MA, Bob Yell, and his wife Cheri of Manchester N.H., Richard Yell and his wife Denise of Proctor VT. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Robert Kowal III, Kristina Kowal, Timothy Kowal, and Alexander Hazel.
Funeral will be Friday, June 9, a calling hour 9-10 AM at Boucher – O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St. Easthampton followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of the Valley Church, her burial will be at St. Brigid’s Cemetery in Easthampton.
