Deborah Ann Banas 1953-2025

Deborah Ann Banas, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on March 8, 2025, at the age of 71 in Easthampton, MA.  Born on October 24, 1953, in Holyoke, MA.   


Deborah is survived by her sister Sandra T. Coty, Belchertown, MA, brother, George (Thomas) Mitchell, Belchertown, MA, brother, Raymond L, Mitchell, Hattiesburg, MS, sister, Sharon E. Allen, Poulsbo, WA and brother, David P. Allen, Belchertown, MA.   Son, Timothy Sharrow, Northampton, MA, granddaughter, Mikayla Sharrow, Easthampton, MA.


Deborah was predeceased by her husband James Banas, Grandmother, Bernice (Peggy) (Forrest) Plante. Grandfather, Eloi (Blackie) Plante, Mother, Shirely A. Harstad, Father, Carlton St. Pierre, Stepfather, John H. Harstad, brother Wayne C. Mitchell, brother Roy J. Allen.

Deborah attended Belchertown High School, UMass, Amherst, MA where she then worked as a Hearing Clerk at the University of Massachusetts “know as Judge Debbie”.  Deborah found joy in cooking, attending the races with her husband Jim, old movies, chatting with friends and family and the love of her puppy dog Spike.  Deborah was kind, generous, witty with a sarcastic sense of humor who touched the lives of all who knew her.

 

A celebration of life will be held later date.
