Easthampton, MA — Ella A. (Sears) Pacocha, 94, passed away in Holyoke on June 27, 2022. Born in Leeds, MA on April 27, 1928 she was the daughter of Arthur and Eva (Lebeau) Sears.
While working at a local garment manufacturing company Ella met her future husband, Edward Pacocha. They married on September 18, 1948 and moved to Easthampton, where they lived happily for over 71 years. Ella's greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Ella worked at United Elastic and retired from Tubed Products in 1990, where she worked for over 20 years.
Ella enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and doing word/number search puzzles. She will be dearly missed by her son Edward T. Pacocha and his wife Diane of Ludlow, daughters Joyce Gurski, Judy Kukucka and husband David, of Easthampton. She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. Ella also leaves her sisters, Theresa Treumer of Virginia and Elaine Marshall of New Mexico.
Ella was predeceased by her husband Edward in 2019, her brother Raymond Sears, and sister Florence Mayo. She also recently lost her son-in-law Richard Gurski.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 6, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Boucher-O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton. A funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Church. Her interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery.
Donations maybe made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriners Hospital.
The family requests that masks be worn at the services.
