Gregory A. Krzanowski 1954-2024


Gregory A. Krzanowski, 70, passed away at home on August 30, 2024 surrounded by his family after a battle with lung cancer. He was born in Holyoke on March 21, 1954 and was the son of the late Rudolph and Emily (Zerek) Krzanowski. Greg grew up in Easthampton and was a graduate of Easthampton High School. He worked at various companies including Wheel Horse, GDI, Active Radiator and Cook Builders Supply from where he retired.


Greg enjoyed watching TV, trying his luck on scratch tickets and at the casino and he was an avid Red Sox fan. Most important was his family, and especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Kirstin L. (Kennedy) Krzanowski with whom he had been married for 35 years. He is also survived by his former wife, Patricia (Sealander) Boyle, and their son Gregory Krzanowski Jr, wife Lauren, and his grandchildren Anthony and McKenna of Southampton. He also leaves his daughter, Courtney Papineau and her husband Codi of Easthampton along with his grandchildren Adaliene and Breelyn, who will miss their “Poppo”. Greg will be remembered by his sisters, Sue Krzanowski of Northampton and Kathy Krzanowski and her companion Joseph Morenzi of North Providence, RI. He will also be remembered by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.


Calling hours will be held from the Boucher - O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St, Easthampton, on Tuesday September 10 from 9:30AM to 11AM. A prayer service will be held at 11AM, followed by his committal service in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in South Hadley.
