Joanne Mary Barszewski, 75, of Easthampton, passed away on January 4, 2025.
Born on May 8, 1949, in Northampton to Edward and Irene (Yagmin) Samuel. Joanne was raised in Easthampton, she graduated from Easthampton High School. She was employed at UMASS in the dining commons and pharmacy, she retired as a Pharmacy Assistant in 2009.
Joanne loved her family, crafting, especially oriental rugs, and gardening. She enjoyed cooking pierogi and polish food, making fudge and baking. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Church. She is predeceased by her parents and by her husband Daniel J. Barszewski in 2019. She leaves her son Daniel J. Barszewski Jr. of Westfield, her daughters, Tina and Joe Wise of Bernadston, grandaughter Amanda. Tammy and Phillip Therrien of Enfield CT, grandson Benjamin. She also leaves her sisters Susan & (Robert) Church of FL, Judy and John Marciniak of Easthampton, six nieces and nephews and many friends along with her kitty cat Jewels.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday January 15, 2025 at 1PM in St. Stanislaus Cemetery Easthampton All are welcome to attend.
The Boucher - O’Brien Funeral Home was entrusted with her services.
